I was booking some plane tickets from canada to the US and I was pretty amazed by the US agriculture tax. Anyone know from where it might come from?

Tomorrow I will attend barcamp montreal 3 in la Société des arts technologiques of Montreal.
That will be my first tech event in north america. I am eager to see how the scene is developing here in canada.
